The cunning plan to get rid of Wales' NHS problems?
The health service in Wales is in chaos.
Record waiting times.
Record missed ambulance response times.
Front line staff under constant pressure.
And the latest. A Health Service struggling for cash is being asked to save money.
The Welsh Labour government is doing their bit. They built a brand new hospital, The Grange,.The next step is getting enough staff for it.
Chaos.
But all is not lost, for in the face of all this chaos, along comes the Wales Health Minister with a plan.
Yes, Elunedd Morgan, Baroness Ely, has a plan.
In the Senedd, in television interviews and in her constant hospital visit photo shots, she tells a worried public that she has a plan.
And the plan seems to be that we the public must take more responsibility.
Don't get so sick.
Never mind that dodgy knee, go out for a run and you wont get heart attacks [ probably ]
And if you are irresponsible enough to get sick, don't bother your GP or hospital.
There are plenty of self cures out there if you Google them.
Imagine the savings to be made without patients.
No need to recruit the 4000+ nurse shortage.
No need to recruit the hundreds of doctors shortfall.
No need to recruit the 5000+ shortage of care workers.
There may also be a budget surplus.
Taking personal responsibility is the plan and if we, the public, follow the plan. The Welsh government doesn’t have to take responsibility at all.
What a plan!
And the good news doesn't end there.
The Welsh government will then move Baroness Ely to Education, where she will also probably have a plan.
